Problem Description
Users are unable to connect to published applications when the IMA HOST ID is improperly set to zero.
Symptoms
Users are unable to connect to published applications when the IMA HOST ID is improperly set to zero in the data collector.
QFarm /app returns a zero load value for this published application and the ICA Client cannot connect to any published applications on this server.
Note: This condition does not affect the desktop.
To verify this condition run the following command.
Example of a problem server:
C:>queryds /table:ServiceTable
[ServiceTable]: 1 records.
name: 0
host: XPSERVER
zone: 192.168.1.0
Note: The name field is set to zero. This reflects a nonzero number when working properly.
Example of a working server:
C:>queryds /table:ServiceTable
[ServiceTable]: 1 records.
name: 72F4
host: XPSERVER
zone: 192.168.1.0
Resolution
You must regenerate this hostID by running chfarm and joining a temporary farm, then rejoining the existing farm.
