Installation Manager cannot create Program Group or make changes to system files
Citrix Packager requires that the TEMP environment variable be set for the user account that is packaging the installation.
If the Packaging system does not have the TEMP environment variable set for the account that is packaging the installation, you may experience the following:
Changes to Files in the %WinDir% Directory and all other subdirectories of %WinDir% will not be done. For example, changes to the Win.ini file will not be done at all.
Changes to Program Groups within the Start menu of Windows will not be recorded.
Additional Information
The installation will not be able to create a Program Group in Start > Programs. If the TEMP directory is not set as an environment variable, the packager will use the %WinDir% directory as the referenced %TEMPDIR%. Because the %TempDir% is by default part of the exclusion filter within the Packager.ini file, all the changes that should take place are disregarded. To fix this problem, set the TEMP variable on the system where you package the application. If this cannot be done, you may want to alter the [FILE_FILTERS] list provided within the Packager.ini.
Important: Make sure that you have TEMP as the environment variable set on the packaging system.
