Products: Installation Manager for MetaFrame XPe
Symptoms
Compatibility scripts are not being applied when users log on using Installation Manager Version 2.0 to deploy Office 97.
Cause
Many commonly used applications have been tested for compatibility with Terminal Services. For maximum performance on a Terminal Server in application server mode, some applications require minor changes after installation. Scripts are available for these applications and must be run after the application installation is complete. The scripts are located in system root in Application Compatibility ScriptsInstall.
It is not necessary to use application compatibility scripts if Terminal Services was installed in remote administration mode.

Resolution
After you install Office 97, run the compatibility scripts manually.
Customer Notes
Issue #1
The Citrix compatibility scripts define and reference a RootDrive variable that is defined by the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECitrixAppCloningRootDrive. This value did not exist and had to be manually created.
Issue #2
The Citrix application compatibility scripts create a file called %SYSTEMROOT%System32IMSLOGON.CMD. This calls other cmd files in %SYSTEMROOT%IMSAppCompat to replicate per-user settings at logon.
There appears to be no mechanism in place to launch Imslogon.cmd. Incorporating IMSLOGON in the Usrlogn1.cmd was a workaround.
Issue #3
Although several registry entries are in the .wfs file created by the Packager, several of these keys are not created on the target server. Ones that were verified consistently are included below :
AddReg=%OfficeUserRegBase%CommonFileNewLocalTemplates,,%ROOTDRIVE%:Office97
Templates,SZ,T
AddReg=%ExcelRegBase%,DefaultPath,%ROOTDRIVE%:Personal,SZ,T
AddReg=%WordRegBase%Options,AUTOSAVE-PATH,%ROOTDRIVE%:Personal,SZ,T
AddReg=%WordRegBase%Options,DOC-PATH,%ROOTDRIVE%:Personal,SZ,T
