Ensure that the customer has downloaded the latest Mac ICA Client Version 4.1. 2. Verify if the user has the latest Windows NT (4.0 for MetaFrame) driver for the PostScript or direct printer they are attempting to install. 3. Install the driver to an LPT port on the Citrix server console. 4. Install the driver on the Mac client using the Installer executable (it is available on the CD that contains the printer drivers). 5. After the installation of the driver, edit the Wtsuprn.inf (read the article "How to Set a Default Autocreated Printer withTSE and MetaFrame" for detailed instructions about how to edit the Wtsuprn.inf file) to point the Mac Driver to the Windows NT driver on the Citrix server. 6. On the Mac client, go to ICA Client Editor. 7. Press Command T to bring up the default settings of the ICA client editor. 8. In the drop down list, select Printer Setup. 9. In the Local Printer type option, select Direct Printer (if it is not a Postscript Printer). 10. A printer list is displayed. If your printer is listed, select it. Otherwise, select the Add button. The option to type in the printer name is displayed. IMPORTANT: The printer name should be the exact driver name as on your Citrix server. 11. Click Save and exit. NOTE: When attempting to test your printer configuration, the ICA Print Spooler must be open. Unless you have a Postscript printer, your client may crash while printing. To prevent that from happening, rename the ICAPrintSpooler to anything else. Mac Client Printing works just fine after that. |
