Forcing Audio 1.0 or Video 1.0 to be a minimum requirement when publishing an application will cause the ActiveX client to generate a Logon Mesage
When publishing an application with Published Application Manager, you are prompted to "Specify Program Neighborhood Client Settings." At this stage, Audio 1.0 and Video 1.0 can be made minimum requirements in order to connect. This is even more obvious when publishing a Cvi file (information file generated during VideoFrame encoding phase) because Video 1.0 in this case is always a requirement. The ActiveX client does not include the needed Dlls to fulfill this minimum requirement; therefore, the following error messages are returned at connection time:
"Connecting to this published application requires client video support. Contact your administrator for more help."
"The system cannot log you on (13D). Please try again or consult your system administrator."
The same error messages are returned if the user connects to the published application via an ICA file or via NFuse as long as the pure ActiveX client is being used.
A workaround to this specific problem is to download the full Program Neighborhood client, install it, and then run wfica32 /setup from the directory where the full client is installed.
