Issue
Customers have requested a method to automatically launch a Citrix ICA DOS Client connection when the workstation is started. This can be accomplished by using a batch file and modifying the workstation's Autoexec.bat file.
Resolution
1. Follow 32-bit ICA DOS Client Installation Issues to assist with the configuration of the DOS Client.
2. Configure the client connection in the DOS Client and ensure the connection to the server or published application can be successfully launched.
3. Create a batch file with the following two lines:
wfclient happy (where happy is the description of the connection defined in the DOS Client from Step 2.)
call citrix.bat
Place the batch file in the Citrix ICA DOS Client Directory.
4. Modify the Autoexec.bat file. Make the following entry the last line in the Autoexec.bat file:
call citrix.bat
