Introduction

This tool copies Web Interface scripts and IIS metabase settings from the default Web site to another Web site of your choosing. Use this tool if you host multiple Web sites on your Web server and do not want to serve Web Interface from the default Web site.

WIMove Version Update

This is WIMove Version 2.12. This version adds support for Web Interface Versions 2.0 or 2.1 running on Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003.

Before you Begin

1. Install Web Interface on the default Web site and verify that the site is functioning before you attempt to move it.

2. If you did not create a new Web site other than the default Web site, use Internet Services Manager to do so now.

Instructions

Copy the contents of the WIMove folder under wwwroot and point a Web browser to it. For example, if you copy the folder to C:InetpubwwwrootWIMove, you point a Web browser to http://servername/WIMove/, where servername is the name or address of your Web server.

To use the WIMove tool, you must authenticate as an administrator of the Web server. If your Web browser is separated from the Web server by a proxy server, you may not be able to authenticate successfully.

You are asked to choose from a list of Web sites currently configured in IIS. Web Interface 2.0 is copied from the default Web site to the site you select. You are then given the option to select which subcomponents of Web Interface you want to copy to the new site:

Web Interface end-user scripts/Citrix/MetaFrameXP

The end-user scripts must be included for Web Interface 2.0 to operate.

ICA Client package delivery/Citrix/ICAWEB

ICA Client packages are required for ICA Client delivery to users who do not already have an ICA Client installed. It is also used to deliver the ICA Java Client on demand.

Program Neighborhood Agent end-user scripts/Citrix/PNAgent

The Program Neighborhood Agent user scripts are required if you have users who will point to your Web Interface server to enumerate application icons for the Program Neighborhood Agent Client.

Program Neighborhood Agent Admin Tool/Citrix/PNAgentAdmin

The Program Neighborhood Agent admin tool is a Web-based application that administrators can use to modify the behavior of Program Neighborhood Agent Clients.

Web Interface admin tool/Citrix/MetaFrameXP/WIAdmin

The Web Interface admin tool is a Web-based application that administrators can use to modify the behavior of the Web Interface.

Web Interface extension end-user scripts/Citrix/MetaFrameXP/WIE

These scripts provide the user experience if you are using the Web Interface extension to aggregate applications from multiple MetaFrame farms in disparate domains.

If you are unsure which options to select, Citrix recommends that you choose to copy all subcomponents to the new site.

After confirming your selections, WIMove copies all the required files and IIS metabase settings from the default Web site to the new site. The tool also makes changes to your NFuse.conf file to reflect the new location of the NFuseIcons folder.

After completion, you can point a Web browser to your new site and begin using Web Interface. After you verify that Web Interface is working on the new site, you can delete or disable the copy on the default Web site.
