What is the difference between ICA master browsers and domain master browsers?

The components of the ICA browser model areMaster Browser, browsers, andclient workstations.The domain master browser and backup browsers are features of TCP/IP.
The master browser maintains the ICA browser list, while all other servers act as active browsers. Clients request information from the master browser.This reduces network traffic.
All MetaFrame servers participate in the brows process for ICA. The client send a packet requesting what applications are published.TheMaster ICA Browser responds with the applications available.The Master ICA Browser requests the numeric index that corresponds to the load on the server with the application.The Master ICA Browser responds to the client with the server to connect to.Then the client connects with that server. TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI will each have a Master browser as long as that protocol is installed on any machine on the local subnet.Also remember that there will be a master browser for each protocol in each subnet.That master browser may or may not be the same depending on which protocols are installed on each machine.
Browsing problems can occur when the correct protocols are not installed, the ICA gateway is incorrectly configured, servers reside on different subnets, or multiple NICs are installed and incorrectly configured on each machine.TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI will each have a Master browser as long as that protocol is installed on any machine on the local subnet.Also remember that there will be a master browser for each protocol in each subnet.That master browser may or may not be the same depending on which protocols are installed on each machine.
