Independent Mananagment Architecture service fails to start after instlalling Resource Management Version 2.0.

If there is a published desktop, the service may fail to start. Please apply Feature Release 1 / Service Pack 1 for MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Windows (or later replacement) to apply the fix from XE100T004 and XE100W004.

If the issue continues, the following errors appear in the event viewer:

Application popup: imasrv.exe -

Application Error : The instruction at "0x100043ad" referenced memory at "0x00000051." The memory could not be "read." Click on OK to terminate the application.

The Citrix Resource Manager Monitor failed to start.

This is because an essential resource could not be allocated or facility initialized. Citrix Resource Manager failed to create a log file to track metric state changes and user configuration. No configuration or metric state changes information will be tracked.

This is likely to be a permissions or file system problem. Please review the security permissions on the %SystemRoot%Program FilesCitrixCitrix Resource Management directory and subdirectory ensuring that the System account has full control to the directories.
