This document differentiates which features are enabled when MetaFrame XP 1.0 Service Pack 1 is installed or enhanced with an applied Feature Release 1 license.
There are some features that, by design, work only partially if you do not have a Feature Release 1 license. Below is a chart about this subject:

* Server-side logging aspects are available only if Feature Release 1 is enabled.
** The PN Client needs to be Version 6.20.985 or greater, in conjunction with MetaFrame XP 1.0 Service Pack 1, for this to work properly.
*** The client always attempts to reconnect but the client retransmits user credentials only if Feature Release 1 is enabled.
