1. Ensure the client printer that you are trying to autocreate is accepting requests. Run the "lpstat –a” command. Also use “lpstat –a” to verify the name of the printer.
2. Modify the wfclient.ini file. This file will be located in 2 places. Modifications to the wfclient.ini located under the users home directory .ICAClient folder will only apply changes to that single user. To make these changes global to the workstation modify the wfclient.ini file located under /usr/lib/ICAClient/config directory.
3. In the [WFClient] section of the wfclient.ini you will add:
DefaultPrinter=PrinterName
DefaultPrinterDriver=PrintDriverName
Note: Verify the driver name. The naming convention used by the registry is the driver name that will have to be used. The registry location on the Citrix Server is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlPrintEnvironmentsWindows NT x86DriversVersion-1, Version-2, or Version-3.
Depending on the NT version of Citrix Server:
Version-1 is NT 3.51
Version-2 is Windows NT 4.0
Version-3 is Windows 2000.
