Products: Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Microsoft Windows 2000, Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Microsoft NT 4.0 Server Terminal Server Edition, Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 for Microsoft Windows 2000, Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 for Microsoft NT 4.0 Server Terminal Server Edition
Problem Description:
When connecting to a fixed or seamless window published Internet Explorer 5.x or later, regardless if it is configured to, or if it was last run in a maximized state, Internet Explorer will not open as a maximized window. This issue does not happen if Internet Explorer is launched by ServerFTA.exe, the program responsible for launching applications at the server for Content Redirection, if Hotfix XE102W065 or later is applied.
Resolution:
This is considered as designed. When a Citrix Published application is launched, it is done using the Windows flag, SW_SHOW. When Internet Explorer is launched using this Windows Flag, it ignores the previously saved Window Size, if the size was maximized. The following workaround can be used.
Publish a batch file that launches Internet Explorer using the following command line: start "IE" "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
