Symptoms

When performing an unattended install of FR2 on a Win2k Server with SP3, the client update database may not get populated when the options to do so are specified in the unattend.txt file.

Cause

A problem was found in MSI.

Resolution

To work around the problem, use the attached Transform file to perform the unattended installation.

Status

This problem does not happen when installing MF XP FR2 on a Win2k SP2 server. This issue does not occur when installing MF XP FR3.
