Background
Reconnecting to a disconnected session from a workstation other than the one from which the original connection was made is a feature referred to as Roaming Users Reconnect. It is supported with HTTP browsing by the Windows, UNIX, and Mac OS X Clients, Versions 6.30 and later, and with UDP browsing and only the Windows clients.
Symptoms
When using an ICA connection to reconnect to a disconnected session from a workstation other than the one from which the original connection was made, users may get a new session if the load level on the server that hosts the disconnected session is greater than the load level of other servers that participate in load balancing of the application.
The issue may also occur when reconnecting to a disconnected session using an ICA Client on a platform that is different from the one from which the original connection was made.
Cause and Resolution
The Roaming Users Reconnect feature requires the user/domain name at connection time to determine the server to which to send the reconnection. Accessing the disconnected session by different methods such as PNAgent, NFuse, or using different logon credentials appear to break this functionality.
