Symptom
When publishing an application and browsing the IMA server drives in the Citrix Management Console, the following error messages may appear:
“Error Title: Server not Found
Error: The server cannot be located. It may be offline or no longer in the farm.”
Cause
The folder in question has permissions that are not accessible by the user logged on to the Citrix Management Console.
Reproduction Steps
1. Create a folder named “Test” directly under the root drive.
2. From the Properties of the folder, go to the Security tab.
3. Add a user who is not a Citrix Administrator.
4. Remove the inheritable permissions from the folder.
5. Remove all other groups and users not added in Step 3. The result should be like the below screen shot.
6. From the Citrix Management Console, browse this newly created folder.
7. Observe the above error message.
Resolution
Add the appropriate Citrix administrator user permissions to the folder(s) in question.
