Symptom
When a Macintosh O9 client tries to use the Jave Client to connect to a MetaFrame server running Secure Gateway, the following error message appears:
“The root certificate [root Certificate name] cannot be found. Please contact your Citrix Administrator.”
Resolution
To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
1. Download the root certificate on your Web server and save it in a file with a .crt extension.
2. Download the JDK from the http://java.sun.com Web site.
3. Copy the certificate (.crt file) to the same folder as the jar.exe module installed with the JDK.
4. Run the command: jar –cf myroot.jar myroot.crt. This creates the jar archive).
5. Copy this archive (myroot.jar) and the certificate (myroot.crt) into the \inetpub\wwwroot\citrix\icaweb\en\icajava folder.
6. In WIAdmin, in the ICA Client deployment section, add the certificate myroot.crt. Save and apply.
7. Edit the AppEmbed.inc file and locate the following line in the applet (line 80):
archive=”<%=jicaPackages%>”
Change the line to this:
archive=”<%=jicaPackages%>myroot.jar”
Note: Certificate names are case-sensitive.
