Parameters to adjust keyboard and mouse responsiveness by changing buffer timeout values can be modified as listed below:
In the client APPSRV.INI file there are two parameters of interest:
MouseTimer=100
KeyboardTimer=100
These parameters specify how many milliseconds the client holds on to a mouse or keyboard packet before sending it to the server. These values can be reduced so that more packets will be sent from the client to the server.
In the server Registry, the following parameter changes the default settings for defining new TCP/IP WinStations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCitrixPdstcpOutBufDelay
The following parameter changes the existing settings for TCP/IP WinStation tcp#x:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCitrixWinStationstcp#xOutBufDelay
where x is the name of the WinStation you want to change.
This parameter specifies how many milliseconds the server holds on to a data packet before sending it the client. This value can be reduced so that more packets will be sent from the server to the client.
