What protocols must be installed on a MetaFrame Server?

Protocols can be found listed in the Network Neighborhood icon. While RDP only can travel on TCP, any normally supported NT 4.0 protocol can be installed for normal network communication. ICA and RDP communications are completely separate issues from the network protocols used for server to server data communication. For example, NWLink might be used to communicate with a NetWare server, NetBEUI with a Windows 3.11 workstation (for file transfer), while RDP is used from the REMOTE PRESENTATION SERVICES ONLY on TCP.

As a consultant working in the real world I have found that the first thing most Novell administrators do is to install an ICA/ IPX for remote presentation services regardless of other protocols used. The trick is to realize that remote presentation services are separate from the rest of the protocol stack.
