Symptoms

JDE OneWorld ERP fails to launch once optimized by memory optimization. The Oracle logon dialog box no longer appears.

Reinstalling the application solves the issue until the next optimization schedule.

Cause

CTX106023 – Virtual Memory Optimization Feature is enabled.

Resolution

CTX106699 – Application Fails to Launch Properly After Installing Citrix Presentation Server 4.0

Add the following processes to the memory optimization exclusion list:

• Oexplore.exe

• Activconslole.exe

If using the Oracle client version 9, you might also need to exclude the following files from the memory optimization process.

Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys and Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Make sure you back up the registry before you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, also update your Emergency Repair Disk (ERD).

Add the following files to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\SFO\ComponentExclusionList:

• "orageneric9.dll"=dword:00000000

• "oracore9.dll.dll"=dword:00000000

More Information

Finance One, a third party application by http://www.technologyonecorp.com/" target="_blank">Technology One, may also have this issue as it may use the Oracle 10g client. At the time of this article, the customer opted to disable CTX106023 – Virtual Memory Optimization Feature. Therefore, no exclusion lists have been created for Finance One.
