Error c0050005/80000001 When Deleting Published Application

Symptoms

When trying to delete a published application, error c0050005/80000001 may appear. Also, trying to view any properties of the troubled published application returns the c0050005/80000001 error. Running CTX107800 – DSCHECK Version 5.9 shows no errors. Creating a new application and subsequently deleting that application may be possible.

Resolution

1. Re-create the local host cache, CTX759510 – Function of the Local Host Cache on MetaFrame XP on the server that you are connecting the Management Console to.

2. Rename the troubled published application. An error may occur when attempting to rename the application. Continue and the application should be renamed.

3. Delete the renamed published application.

4. Ensure CTX107323 – Unable to Delete Objects from the Citrix Management Console is not an issue.
