Content Redirection Client to Server

This feature allows files residing on the local workstation to be opened with a published application rather than a locally installed application. This feature requires:

• MetaFrame XPs does not support this feature. CTX101809 – File Types (FTA), Connection Limits, Application concurrent limit, Limit concurrent sessions policy, and Load Management do not work with XPs.

• MetaFrame XPa and XPe require Feature Release 2 server licenses and Feature Release 2 connection licenses.

• NFuse Classic 1.7 or later.

• The Feature Release 2 Program Neighborhood Agent ICA Client, version 6.30.1050 or later.

• Client drive mapping enabled.

• Desired file type associations enabled in the properties of the published application.

• Note from Chapter 6 of the Advanced Concepts Guide: Content Redirection from client to server does not work for Windows NT user accounts on Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and Windows NT 4.0 Server without terminal services because the Windows registry on these platforms works differently. Users on client platforms that use HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER must have local administrator privileges for content redirection to work. Microsoft merged HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes starting with Windows NT 4.0, Terminal Server Edition (TSE).

• A MetaFrame XP Feature Release 2 Win32 / Linux ICA Client or later equivalent

• CTX107059 – Advanced Concepts Guide

Enhanced Content Publishing

This feature is similar to Content Publishing in Feature Release 1 except the administrator now has the choice to have the published content displayed in a published application or in a locally installed application on the workstation. This feature requires:

• MetaFrame XPs, XPa, or XPe or later

• A MetaFrame XP Feature Release 2 server license and Feature Release 2 connection licenses or its licensing equivalent

• NFuse Classic 1.7 or later

• Any MetaFrame Feature Release 2 ICA Client (with NFuse as the Web page) / Program Neighborhood Agent (without NFuse as the Web page) or later
